When sprayed into the nose, these biopolymers form a soft, elastic fluid-gel layer over the nasal mucosa that is designed to stay in place for up to 6 hours. This physical barrier helps to trap and hold airborne virus particles, pollen and particulate pollution in the gel layer before they can reach the cells that line your nose.
